White Grizzly is the second installment in Fisher’s Poudre Canyon Saga.
Thirty years have passed since Andre Pelletier parted from his brother and became White Grizzly the Crow War Chief. War has gripped the West with the Sioux nation joining forces with the Cheyenne and Arapaho to fight the hated blue coat soldiers over the treaty breaking Bozeman Road. The Crow were content to let their enemy, the Sioux, struggle with the soldiers until a patrol out of Fort Phil Kearny attacked the village of White Grizzly hurling them into the war.
Pressed between his position of leadership, a son gone insane and renegade, and the knowledge that the world they knew is rapidly changing Andre makes the long journey to Colorado to leave the women and children of his family in the safety of his brother Jean. Then, accompanied by his sons, White Grizzly returns to the Powder River to fight a war he’s not sure they can win.
Dave’s Where Free Men Gather, the first book in The Poudre Canyon Saga series, is currently available at booksellers everywhere.

Here is a baker’s dozen of great western short stories entitled Out of the West…Tales of the American Frontier by Johnny Gunn. The book is a reflection of life in the west from the early days of the westward migration right into the 21st century.
The stories deal with such varied topics as a late 19th Century chili cook-off to a 21st Century ghost story. You’ll find stories about mustanging in the early days and about cattle drives that don’t always turn out the way the cow boss expected. There are stories about dens of thieves, Indians, trouble with Mother Nature and lots of bad men who always get knocked down a peg or two. It’s a fun book to read and is full of life the way we like to think it used to be.
Cover and interior art created by Johnny’s wife, Patty Gunn.
Get a glass of ice tea, sit back and relax and prepare to enjoy Out of the West…Tales of the American Frontier.

Cowboy Riches is the latest from Herb Marlow, a story of a rancher who strikes it big winning the lottery.
Modern Texas Cowboy, Joe Garth, earning $900.00 a month wins over $4 million in the Texas Lottery. How long will it take him to spend it? At first, everything comes up roses. He buys a ranch and some good cattle and horses; meets a smart, pretty girl, marries and generally believes that life can’t get much better.
But then Joe’s life suddenly takes a down turn. An investment turns sour, and the love of his life dies in childbirth. How can he overcome the loss of his beloved wife? Joe cowboys up, takes care of baby Ashley, and though his monetary losses are great, he realizes that he still has what is most important: his faith in God and his precious daughter.
While looking for cowboy work Joe discovers a forgotten investment has made him part owner in a cattle ranch….and it’s back to a life he understands and loves. The big surprise comes when he meets an old acquaintance…can love happen twice in a man’s life? Perhaps…

Patty Gunn has agreed to create cover and interior art for hubby Johnny’s new book Out of the West…Tales of the American Frontier.
Patty is the highly creative artist who created the cover art for this book, as well as the interior line drawings.
She is married to Dennis Locke, but since everyone but the IRS knows him as Johnny Gunn, she has become Patty Gunn.
Patty was born into a warehousing and distribution family in southern California. Today she carries on the family tradition as Operations Manager of a large warehouse and distribution center in northern Nevada.
Patty says that she has three passions in life: horses, art and camping. For her, when she and Johnny go horse camping in the Sierra Nevada wilderness and she has her art supplies, she’s simply in Heaven, totally at peace with the world.
By the way, those boots and socks on the cover of this book are Johnny Gunn’s, captured during a recent camping trip in the high Sierra.

Christine Camilleri has agreed to supply the art for the new Herb Marlow book Cowboy Riches. Camilleri’s Heading Home is an exquisite painting portraying cowboy on horse.
Christine Camilleri is a painter of western scenes: cowboys, bison, wildlife and open country.
Her pastel paintings have received numerous awards in shows and competitions in Canada and the United States. Internationally, her work is collected by individuals, corporations and universities. She is a member of the Northwest Pastel Society and Pastel Artists of Canada.
An experienced hiker and outdoorswoman, Christine enjoys fly fishing, going so far as to tie her own flys. She also loves skiing and backpacking. Christine tells us she often takes her paints along and finds inspiration in nature for paintings that are then fine-tuned in her studio.
She is represented by Scott Milo Gallery in Anacortes, Washington and the Soda Creek Gallery in Sisters, Oregon.
You can view more of her paintings at www.christinecamilleri.com. Should you wish to purchase prints they can easily be ordered from www.christine-camilleri.fineartamerica.com.
